Kyung Hee University head coach Kim Hyun-guk accumulates 2 T-fouls in game against Dongguk University

Head coach Kim Hyun-guk was ejected after accumulating two technical fouls.

Kyung Hee University lost 69-82 against Dongguk University in the 2023 KUSF University Basketball U-League at Dongguk University Gymnasium on Thursday. The loss dropped the team to 5-8 and raised the red flag on their playoff hopes.

To make matters worse, head coach Kim Hyun-guk was ejected after picking up two technical fouls. The first was for protesting a foul call in the third quarter. He then received a second technical foul for arguing for a traveling violation at the end of the fourth quarter, and was ejected according to the rules.

Kyung Hee University, which had been dragged down by Dongguk University throughout the game, fought back in the fourth quarter through Lim Sung-chae and Kim Soo-oh, but lost its momentum when head coach Kim Hyun-guk was no longer able to direct the game in the crucial period. In the end, the score gap widened again and the team suffered a loss.

On April 6, Kim Hyun-guk was suspended for one game for swearing at the referee in a match against Sangmyung University. He was ejected for accumulating two technical fouls that day, but since he was simply protesting the call, no further punishment is expected.안전놀이터

An official from the Korea University Basketball Federation said, “If you swear at the referee or interfere with the game, you can be disciplined further. However, today (Nov. 14), he was ejected for two technical fouls for simply protesting a call, so we don’t expect any further discipline.”
