Kim Hye-sung (24), the centerpiece of the Kiwoom Heroes offense, was replaced before his third at-bat due to injury.
Kim Hye-sung started the game against the KIA Tigers in the ‘2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League’ at Gocheok Sky Dome on the 15th, batting second.
After going 2-for-2, Kim was suddenly replaced by pinch-hitter Lee Won-seok before his third at-bat. With Kiwoom trailing 3-5 in the bottom of the fourth inning and runners on first and third with no outs, Kim’s replacement was not good news for the team.
