‘A farewell from a legend to a legend’…a farewell just like them.

A legend said ‘goodbye’ to a legend.

One of those legends is Real Madrid legend Luka Modric. He played for Real Madrid from 2012 until this season, scoring 37 goals in 488 appearances.

Another legend is Real Madrid legend Karim Benzema. He played for Real Madrid from 2009 to this season, scoring 354 goals in 648 appearances.

Together, these two legends have created a great history for Real Madrid. Among their many honors, they have won the UEFA Champions League (UCL) five times. And three in a row. They were the ones who made Real Madrid the “kings” of the UCL.

Modric was the first non-Real Madrid player to win the Ballon d’Or since the Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo era began, and Benzema was the second. Both are Real Madrid legends and superstars who have made their mark on world soccer history.

They parted ways at the end of this season. Benzema moved to Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia. The end of a long partnership. Modric said goodbye to Benzema through local media. Modric said

“There will be no Benzema at Real Madrid from now on. We will all miss him. It’s a shame to see such a great player leave. But everyone has their own goals and chooses the path they think is best for them. That’s what Benzema did. We thank him for everything he has done for Real Madrid. I wish him the best of luck.”안전놀이터

Modric is also being tempted by Saudi Arabia. Al-Hilal, the same club that pushed for Messi, wants Modric.

“I want to stay at Real Madrid, I have said this many times. I don’t want to repeat it again. I want to focus on the national team.”
