Minwoo Lee, Ryan Fox earn provisional qualifying status for PGA Tour

Australian expatriates Min Woo Lee and Ryan Fox (New Zealand) have earned provisional status on the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) Tour after finishing the U.S. PGA Championship.

Lee finished tied for 18th at Oak Hill Country Club on Sept. 22 to earn provisional membership after finishing in the top 27, while Fox finished tied for 23rd to earn a spot in the top 59.

The two-time DP World Tour winner has played well on the European Tour this season, including a second-place finish at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, and is ranked 61st in the world golf rankings. On the U.S. PGA Tour, he finished tied for sixth at the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in March.

Fox, 36, who recently battled pneumonia, won twice on the European Tour last year. While he hasn’t won on the DP World Tour this season, he has four top-20 finishes and climbed to No. 41 in the world rankings, earning him a spot in June’s U.S. Open.

The provisional qualifiers will receive full entry into next season’s FedExCup if they finish in the top 125 in the final FedExCup standings this season. Last year, Kim earned his provisional status with a third-place finish at the Genesis Scottish Open before going on to win the Wyndham Championship.안전놀이터

In addition, under the expanded partnership between the DP World Tour and PGA Tour announced last year, the top 10 players on the Race to Dubai standings at the end of this season will receive full PGA Tour status for next season.

Lee is currently fifth on the Dubai Ranking, while Fox is 33rd. Victor Perez (FRA) with one win, Adrian Meronk (POL) with two wins and Rocas Herbert (AUS) with one win round out the top 10.
