‘Former’ KIA foreign pitcher Sean Nolin signs minor contract with Minnesota

Sean Nolin, who played for the KIA Tigers in the 2022 season, makes a new start in the United States.

MLB Trade Rumors reported on the 12th (Korean time), “The Minnesota Twins recently signed a minor contract with left-handed pitcher Nolin.” The Minnesota MLB.com Face also reported the news on the same day.  온라인카지노

Nolin appeared in 21 games as a member of the KIA in the 2022 KBO League, recording an average ERA of 2.47 with 8 wins and 8 losses. In the first half, he only played 7 games due to a left calf injury, but in the second half, he recorded an average ERA of 1 point (1.90) in 13 games, leading KIA to advance to the postseason (5th in the league). He even took the mound as a starting pitcher in the first match of the wild card decision against the KT Wiz.

Nolin’s renewal of his contract looked promising. However, KIA wanted to recruit a right-handed fastball pitcher instead of Nolin, a left-handed technical pitcher, and in the end the two sides could not accompany them.

Nolin only played 10 games in the Major League (MLB). He played 2 games with the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2013-2014 season and 6 games with the Oakland Athletics in the 2015 season.

He has gained full-time experience in the KBO league and has also been successful on the American stage. Merrill Kelly, who was a member of SSG Landers (SK Wyverns), is a representative example. He is currently the third starting pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Josh Lindblom, who won 20 games with the Doosan Bears in the 2019 season, also signed a contract with the Milwaukee Brewers for 3 years and a total of $9.125 million.
