NC removed catcher Ahn Jung-yeol from the active roster on Monday.
Ahn, who is batting 2-for-6 with four home runs in 66 games this season, started at catcher and batting ninth in a home game against the LG Twins at NC Park in Changwon on April 27.
In the bottom of the fourth inning with a 2-1 lead, Ahn laid down a sacrifice bunt with runners on first and second. The ball was hit toward the third baseman, and Ahn sprinted to first base.
Before reaching first base, Ahn felt discomfort in his right leg and eventually collapsed at first base. He was helped to the dugout by a trainer.
