Lotte Bokdeong, who said, “Let’s not get sick”, will be away for a while due to elbow surgery

Lee In-bok (32), the “good fortune” of the Lotte Giants, who blossomed in baseball life belatedly, was excluded from the spring camp roster due to elbow surgery.

On the 27th, Lotte announced the list of spring camps leading to Guam, Ishigaki and Okinawa. The field training will be held on a relatively large scale (47 players), including outside FA (free agent) recruits Yoo Kang-nam, Noh Jin-hyuk and Han Hyun-hee, and newcomers Kim Min-seok and Lee Tae-yeon.

Lee In-bok’s name is missing from this list. According to the Lotte team, Lee In-bok underwent surgery to remove a bone fragment in his right elbow this morning.

Lee In-bok joined Lotte after being nominated in the 20th overall in the 2nd round of the 2014 rookie draft. He appeared in a total of 23 games through 2019 and, far from winning, reached an earned run average of 11.33.

Equipped with a two-seam fastball, Lee In-bok made a splash in the bullpen in 2020. In the second half of 2021, as a starting pitcher, he was known as the ‘victory fairy’. Last year, he made four starts and went 9-9 with a 4.19 earned run average. He, who had no starting wins until 2021, the 8th year of his professional career, added when Lotte’s domestic starters were in a bad situation and made a better-than-expected fight.

Lee In-bok said, “I think I played a role enough with that level of performance in my position. I couldn’t reach the regular innings due to injury, but I pitched more than 100 innings (a total of 126 and 2/3 innings) that I set for the season.” did.   스포츠토토

Every time that happened, the only thing people around me were concerned about was the injury.

Lee In-bok said, “My biggest desire is to throw many innings as a starting pitcher,” but also said, “I hope I don’t get hurt.” This is because it is the first time that he has digested the full-time starting rotation. Lee In-bok said, “The coach and others around me worry a lot about getting injured. They tell me to ‘take care of your body'” and “If there are no injuries, I will be able to throw regular innings, although it is my desire. important,” he said. It wasn’t until he was 30 that he got the light as a baseball player, so it was a very earnest wish for him. However, before starting camp, he underwent elbow surgery and was given a break.

With free agent Han Hyun-hee joining the starting lineup, Na Kyun-ahn, Kim Jin-wook, and Seo Jun-won are looking for a new spot. Lee In-bok is expected to return in May or June.
