Lefty Cabrera joins Toronto roster…Pearson demoted

The Toronto Blue Jays have added trade-acquired left-hander Yoenis Cabrera to their roster.

The Blue Jays announced today that they have added Cabrera to their 26-man roster for a series against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday.

In five seasons in the majors, Cabrera has appeared in 174 games, compiling a 13-11 record with 51 strikeouts, three saves and a 4.14 ERA.

In 32 games this season, he has a 5.06 ERA, 1.563 WHIP, 1.7 walks per nine innings, 5.1 strikeouts and 10.7 strikeouts in 32 innings pitched.

He hasn’t pitched since allowing two runs in 1 1/3 innings at home against the Washington Nationals on 16 April.

Cabrera’s addition gives Toronto another left-handed bullpen option behind Tim Mayza. It gives them more options in their bullpen depending on the matchup.온라인바카라

To make room on the 26-man roster, right-hander Nate Pearson was sent down to Triple-A.

Pearson was 5-2 with a 4.75 ERA in 36 innings pitched in 29 games this season. He suffered a blown save in his seventh appearance, allowing four runs on seven hits in 3 1/3 innings against Seattle on 23 April.

Aiden Zwelling, a Blue Jays reporter for Canadian sports outlet Sportsnet, said he expected Pearson to make adjustments in Triple-A, particularly with his breaking ball.
