Reporter Park Yoon-seo = The Kiwoom Heroes swept a three-game series for the first time in 59 days. The commander remembered the performances of the players that led to the victory.
Kiwoom won 7-6 at home against the Lotte Giants of the 2023 Shinhan Bank Solar KBO League on Tuesday at Gocheok Sky Dome.
With the win, last-place Kiwoom (46 wins, 3 losses and 64 draws) swept a three-game weekend series. It was their first sweep in 59 days since June 22 against the Daegu Samsung Lions.
After the game, Kiwoom head coach Hong Won-ki said, “The players all showed their determination to win,” and praised the pitching staff, “We had to use a lot of bullpen pitchers today, but they pitched their best and were able to close the innings with minimal runs.”메이저놀이터
The bats also stood out with a seven-run fourth inning, led by Lim Byung-wook’s home run. “His home run in the fourth inning set the tone for the game, and the batters in the seventh and eighth innings were able to pull off the comeback thanks to their focused approach at the plate,” said Hong.
“First and foremost, I would like to thank the fans for their great support during the three-game weekend series at the Gocheok Dome, and I am glad that we were able to show them a winning game,” said Hong.
