Joe Hart praises Oh Hyun-kyu “Passionate and technically excellent”

Celtic’s main goalkeeper Joe Hart evaluated Oh Hyun-gyu.

Celtic will play the 25th round of the Scottish Premiership in the 2022-23 season against St Johnstone at Macdermid Park in Perth, Scotland on the 5th at 9pm (Korean time). Celtic is 1st with 22 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss (67 points), while St Johnstone is 8th with 8 wins, 3 draws and 13 losses (27 points).

A pre-press conference was held, and Hart appeared as a player representative. He is a veteran goalkeeper who has played for Manchester City, West Ham United, Burnley and Tottenham Hotspur in the past, and wore a Celtic uniform in the summer of 2021. He has played well this season, appearing in 24 league matches and conceding only 17 goals (12 clean sheets).

And a question related to the ‘view of looking at Oh Hyun-gyu’ came to Hart. Then Hart explained, “Oh Hyun-gyu is young, really passionate, and strong. Also, he is technically excellent.”

He went on to say, “Like fans, we also talk about when a new teammate comes. According to the players, Oh Hyun-gyu has a sharp play style and is hard to take away when he has the ball. Due to the game schedule, there were not many opportunities to train with Oh Hyun-gyu, I think it will bring something special.”

Finally, he expressed his anticipation, saying, “Kyogo Furuhashi was fantastic. But if Hyungyu Oh gets the number of games and opportunities, he will show his true character. That’s how he will contribute to the team.” 스포츠토토

Oh Hyun-kyu joined Celtic with great anticipation. He was immediately classed as a sense of power, as he was £2.5 million (about 4 billion won), which is the 40th highest Celtic transfer fee ever. Celtic coach Angie Postecoglu, who promoted the direct recruitment, said, “I am very happy to have signed Oh Hyun-kyu. I want to get him into the game as soon as possible. There are advantages,” he said, unable to hide his joy.

And I was given an opportunity to compete right away. Oh Hyun-gyu was substituted in the second half against Dundee United (2-0 win) and Livingstone (3-0 win). And with his flashy moves, he captivated Celtic fans.

He was also well-received among his colleagues. Hart was described as “young, passionate, strong and technically brilliant” while others described him as “sharp”.

In this way, Hyungyu Oh is spending his first life in Europe very splendidly.
