Jeonbuk signs AG international striker Park Jae-yong…long-standing defender Yoon Dowon also joins the club

By Kang Dong-hoon Reporter = Professional football club Jeonbuk Hyundai has filled the void left by Cho Kyu-sung (25-Mitwillan). The club signed Asian Games (AG) striker Park Jae-yong (23) to bolster its frontline. At the same time, they also retained Yoon Do-won (22), a long defender from Jeonju University.

After playing for two years at Incheon National University, Park made his professional debut with FC Anyang in 2022. At 193cm tall and adept at playing in the post, he had a solid debut season, appearing in 21 games (2 goals).

In 2023, Park took his game to the next level with his goal-scoring ability. So far, he has played 18 games (6 goals – 1 assist) and performed well. This has earned him a place in the AG squad for the upcoming World Cup in Hangzhou in September.온라인카지노

Jae-yong Park has become known as the “post Cho Kyu-sung” as he has followed the same career path in the same position as Cho Kyu-sung, who made his debut with Anyang before moving to Jeonbuk. “It’s an honour to join the top club in the K League,” he said, adding, “I feel burdened by the label of ‘post-Jo Kyu-sung,’ but I will prove it with determination.”

Jeonbuk also signed defender Yoon Do-won, a 198cm defender from Jeonju University with a strong physical build. He can play as a frontline striker or central defender, and his physique allows him to excel in headers and battles. He said, “I hope to energise the squad with my rookie spirit.”
