Sixth batter first baseman Kim Min-hyuk led the victory with four hits, four RBIs and two runs in four at-bats, including a two-run shot to the left in the top of the second inning.

Starting pitcher Choi Won-joon pitched well in two innings with 45 pitches, two hits, three strikeouts, one walk, and one run (one earned run).

Kim Taek-yeon, who was nominated as the second overall pick in the first round last year, took the mound as the closing pitcher and struck out all three batters to secure the victory.

Doosan manager Lee Seung-yeop said, “In the first practice game of the spring camp, both pitchers and fielders showed good performance,” adding, “I am more satisfied with the process and content than the result.”

Kim Min-hyuk said, “The coach emphasized putting the heating point forward and said, ‘Don’t be afraid of swinging or striking out, be confident,’ adding, “I think I’m definitely less burdened. I’ll not settle down here and keep a good feeling.”

Choi Won-joon looked back, saying, “I’m satisfied that I induced swinging and hitting with a change-up,” and Kim Taek-yeon said, “I threw mainly fastballs because I was curious if my ball worked, but I’m satisfied that the result was good.”
