The Denver Nuggets and head coach Mike Malone have signed a contract extension, ESPN reported on Thursday.

Much of the credit for Denver’s success goes to Malone, who took the helm in Denver after coaching in Sacramento. With 375 wins since his arrival in 2015, Malone has laid the foundation for the Nuggets’ rise to power.
Last season, the Nuggets made the playoffs with a 16-4 record. This season is off to a great start as well, with eight wins in the first 10 games. With a healthy core, Denver is a strong favorite to win the title again this season.
There’s no reason why Denver shouldn’t consider extending Malone’s contract. His extension is a no-brainer. According to ESPN, the Nuggets have agreed to a deal that will give Malone one of the highest salaries in the league.
