Completion of KT coaching staff, Yoo Yuhan-Jun and Jeon Byung-Doo Futures batting and pitching coaches joined

KT Wiz completed the composition of the coaching staff in 2023.

There is no major change in the composition of KT’s first-team coaches, with manager Lee Kang-cheol at the helm. As in last year, head coach Kim Tae-gyun, pitching coach Tae-han Kim, battery coach Jae-joong Jang, bullpen coach Je Chun-mo, hitting coach Kim Kang, base running coach Choi Man-ho, defense coach Ki-hyeok Park, and assistant hitting coach Cho Joong-geun all remained.

Instead, Park Jung-hwan, futures strategy coach, moved to the first team outfield and base base coach. Existing first-team outfield and running coach Kim Yeon-hoon will move to Futures defensive coach. 스포츠토토

As new Futures coach Kim Ki-tae, who was appointed in October of last year, joined, head coach Seo Yong-bin, who was holding the helm of the existing Futures, changed his position to head coach of the Futures.

After leading the first combined championship in 2021, retired Yuhan-Jun will start as the Futures hitting coach.

Coach Yoo, who made his professional debut at Hyundai Unicorns in 2004, signed a free agent (FA) contract with KT in 2015 after going through Nexen (now Kiwoom) Heroes. In 2021, he led KT’s first integrated victory. After announcing his retirement after the Korean Series in 2021, he served as a non-servicing interim coach for the 2022 season. Coach Yuhan-Jun Yu, who received coaching lessons for a year, adds strength to fostering promising players.

Jeon Byung-doo, a former SSG expedition power analyst, will also join the Futures pitching coach. Han Yoon-seop, the futures defensive coach, will move to the 2nd team operations and running base coach, and actor Bae Bae-yeol, the 1st team power analyst, will move to the futures bullpen coach to support player development.
