Arsenal’s ‘Gordon winning goal’ ended 0-1 defeat,···· in Newcastle away match

Arsenal’s unbeaten run in the league came to an end with a loss at home to Newcastle United.

Arsenal lost 0-1 to Newcastle in the 11th round of the 2023-24 English Premier League (EPL) at St. James’ Park in Newcastle, England, at 2:30 a.m. ET on Friday.

The away side Arsenal brought out a 4-3-3 formation. Lallana was in goal, with Tomiyas-Margalangas-Saliba-White forming the back four. Jorginho, Rice, and Haberts were in the midfield and Martinelli, Nketiah, and Saka were up front.레모나토토 도메인

The home team, Newcastle, also lined up in a 4-3-3 formation. Pope was in goal, with Byrne, Shearer, Rassels, and Trippier forming the back four. Joelington, Guimarães, and Longstaff were in midfield, while Gordon, Wilson, and Almiron were up front.

The first half was fiercely contested by both teams. Newcastle started the game on the front foot, but Arsenal got into the flow and began to take control.

The Gunners attacked with a whopping eight shots in the first half, but were unable to capitalize. Newcastle struggled to contain Arsenal’s onslaught and didn’t register a shot until the 35th minute.

Players from both sides were not shy about getting into rough and tumble situations. There were several collisions between players and fouls were frequent, making for an unforgiving game.

Newcastle took the lead late on. In the 19th minute, Joe Willock saved a ball from crossing the goal line on the left flank, and after a contest between Joelington and Gabriel Magalhaes, the ball fell to Anthony Gordon. Gordon slotted home to give Newcastle the lead and the goal was confirmed by VAR.

From there, Newcastle went on the defensive and Arsenal pushed forward aggressively, making substitutions in an attempt to equalize, but Newcastle held on to their one-goal lead with nearly all of their men in the penalty box and eventually secured a valuable three points.

It was Arsenal’s first defeat in 11 league games. Arsenal failed to turn things around after losing to West Ham United in the English Football League Cup (EFL Cup) in midweek, leaving them third in the league on a two-game losing streak.
