The vote is number one, but I didn’t even get the director’s recommendation…Who’s the hero of bad luck

The final list of 50 players who will play at the 2024 KBO All-Star Game has been decided. In addition to the “Best 12” that brought together representative players of the KBO League who received support from fans and players, all players recommended as coaches have been selected.퀸알바

KBO announced 26 players recommended for coaches to play in the “2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO All-Star Game” on the afternoon of the 24th.

Dream All-Stars (kt, SSG, Doosan, Lotte, and Samsung), led by KT coach Lee Kang-chul, were selected by William Cuevas, Kim Min, Jang Sung-woo, Mel Rojas Jr. (kt), Moon Seung-won (SSG), Lee Young-ha, Yang Seok-hwan (Doosan), Park Se-woong, Kim Won-joong, Information-geun Son Ho-young (Lotte), Lee Seung-hyun (57) and Kim Ji-chan (Samsung).

Manager Yeom Kyung-yeop of Nanum All-Star (LG, NC, KIA, Hanwha, Kiwoom) selected Yoo Young-chan, Austin Dean, Kim Hyun-soo, Hong Chang-ki (LG), Kim Jae-yeol, Kim Young-kyu, Kim Hyung-joon (NC), Choi Ji-min (KIA), Joo Hyun-sang, Choi Jae-hoon, Noh Si-hwan (Hwanhwa), and Cho Sang-woo and Ha Young-min (Kiwon).

There are players who failed to make All-Star despite winning the most votes in the squad and fan voting, but failed to make it to the All-Star due to lack of aggregate score and coach recommendation. A total of 14 players failed to make the Best 12 overall score even though they were ranked No. 1 in the fan or team voting. Nine players failed to make the All-Star list even as a coach-recommended player, more often than not.

In KIA, there are several players who have been reversed in the squad vote even though they received a lot of support in the fan vote. As they account for more than half of the best 12, the number of players recommended for the coach was relatively small. As Kia has already selected seven players in the best 12, only Choi Ji-min has become an All-Star as a player recommended for the coach.

Starting pitcher Yang Hyeon-jong, catcher Kim Tae-gun, and outfielder Socrates Brito fell behind in the final result, which added players’ vote. Yang garnered more than 300,000 votes than Ryu Hyun-jin of the Hanwha Eagles (979,867) with 1,286,133 votes, but failed to win the All-Star title by only 0.62 points in total score, more than doubling the score to 77-155 in the team’s vote. Moreover, since Yang has been removed from the first division due to accumulated symptoms of left elbow fatigue as of Thursday, the All-Star break is likely to weigh on rest.

Kim Tae-gun (1,107,446 fan votes) and Socrates (1,031,888 fan votes) also conceded a chance to play in the All-Star Game due to KIA’s best 12 share.

Samsung infielder Kim Young-woong garnered 1,096,976 votes in the third baseman category of the Dream All Star, beating over Choi Jeong (963,312 votes) of the SSG, but failed to make the All-Star selection in the voting by the team. He failed to make the All-Star selection even as a player recommended by his coach. Samsung is also in a similar situation to Kia’s. With six players selected in the best 12, the number of players recommended by the team is two, which is relatively smaller than that of other teams.

Some players failed to make the All-Star selection despite being the top in the list of votes cast by the team. Doosan’s second baseman Kang Seung-ho received 145 votes cast by his team, but his team was more than doubled to Samsung’s Ryu Ji-hyuk (1,303,367 votes cast by fans). Starting pitcher Kwak Bin received 111 votes cast by the same team cast by his team as Samsung’s Won Tae-in, but failed to make it to the top of the list as he only finished second by a gap of nearly twice as many votes cast by fans.

SSG shortstop Park Sung-han, kt first baseman Moon Sang-chul, and designated hitter Kang Baek-ho were also the top players in the squad vote, but failed to surpass Samsung Lee Jae-hyun, David McKinnon, and Koo Ja-wook, respectively, in addition to the fan vote.

Some players did not make the Best 12 list but gave stars based on their performances during the season. They include KT pitcher Kim Min, Doosan pitcher Lee Young-ha, Samsung pitcher Lee Seung-hyun, Lotte catcher Jung In-geun and infielder Son Ho-young, Samsung infielder Kim Ji-chan, NC pitcher Kim Young-kyu, KIA pitcher Choi Ji-min, and Kiwoom pitcher Ha Young-min.

Choi Jeong and Guillermo Herredia were selected as the 12 best players for the SSG, which will host the All-Star Game at SSG Landers Field, their home ground. The total number of players is three, which is the smallest portion among Dream All-Stars.

Meanwhile, two All-Stars announced uncertain news of their participation in the All-Star Game on Monday, when the list of All-Stars was set. Kia closer Jung Hae-young is preparing to return to the game in the second half due to his shoulder injury. Lotte Giants catcher Son Ho-young has been sidelined due to a hamstring injury, and his participation in the All-Star Game will be decided after monitoring his recovery.
