Lee started as the sixth first baseman in a home game against the SSG Landers held at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu on Sunday. Lee had a good start by hitting an RBI double in his first at-bat in the first inning, and achieved his 13th multi-hit of the season by hitting a mid-base hit in the third inning.
Lee felt pain in his right hip as he collided with a Jihoon Choi during defense in the top of the sixth inning, and a trainer ran to check on Lee’s condition. Lee was replaced by pinch hitter Lee Jae-hyun during offense in the bottom of the sixth inning.
A club official said, “Lee Sung-kyu was replaced for player protection and treatment due to pain in his right hip after colliding with his Jihoon Choi during defense.”
