NC’s Son Ah-seop’s “2,505 hit record” team lost 2-0 to Doosan

Son Ah-seop (NC Dinos) built a gold tower of 2,505 hits.

However, the victory was taken by the Doosan Bears, who Raul Alcantara pitched hard.

Doosan beat the NC Dinos 2-0 in a professional baseball 2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League home game held at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 20th.안전놀이터

The biggest shout in the game was Son Ah-seop’s at-bat in the top of the sixth inning.

Son Ah-seop started as the second designated hitter and hit a left-handed hit in the top of the sixth inning with two outs and no runners, targeting the opponent’s starter Raul Alcantara’s sixth fork ball.

Son Ah-seop, who started his professional career in 2007, is the 2,505th hit in 18 seasons, 2,44 games, and 8,834 at-bats.

Son Ah-seop, who tied KBSN Sports commentator Park Yong-taek’s record (2,504) the previous day (19th), added a hit in his third at-bat on the day to become the main player in the KBO League’s new career hit record.

Park Yong-taek, wearing an LG Twins uniform, had his 2,319th hit on June 23, 2018, leapfrogging Yang Joon-hyuk, chairman of the Baseball Foundation, to become the No. 1 hit in his career.

Park retired after the 2020 season.

Son Ah-seop hit 2,505 hits, changing the main character of Park Yong-taek’s career hit No. 1 for six years

Doosan fans also congratulated Son on reaching the milestone.

Doosan fans laughed louder after the game.

On this day, Doosan starter Alcantara blocked seven innings with four hits and no runs, and won the game (2 wins and two losses) 71 days after the Hanwha Eagles match on April 10.

It is the first time in 60 days that Alcantara has finished the mound without a run since April 21 against the Kiwoom Heroes (four hits and no runs in seven innings).

Doosan’s batters took a chance with one out and runners on the second and third bases with Kim Ki-yeon’s hit in the middle and Jung Soo-bin’s double in the right-center in the bottom of the third inning.

NC starter Shin Min-hyuk, who was shaken rapidly, threw a hit ball to Huh Kyung-min, causing a bases-loaded crisis.

Henry Ramos picked up a fastball cut to the body in the seventh pitch in the full count (3 balls-2 strikes) with one out and got a walk.

With the bases loaded with one out, Kim Jae-hwan brought third baseman Jung Soo-bin home with a sacrifice fly to left field.

Alcantara, Doosan bullpen Kim Kang-ryul, Lee Byung-hun and Kim Taek-yeon kept the precious two runs earned at the end of the third inning.

Rookie Kim Taek-yeon, who was promoted to Doosan’s closer, has won his sixth save (2 wins) of the season, continuing his nine ⅓ scoreless streak in the last 11 consecutive games.
