Samsung fans are fascinated by the new foreign hitter Lewin Diaz.
The Samsung Lions, led by head coach Park Jin-man, did not have a foreign batter effect until Diaz came.
David MacKinnon, who was with him at the start of the season, showed his affinity with his teammates and good batting ability, but his long hit did not explode as he expected. Ruben Cardenas, who joined as a substitute for MacKinnon as a foreign hitter, raised expectations with a series of home run shows, but had to leave Korea amid controversy over his poor performance.먹튀검증
Samsung, which had to complete recruitment process by August 15 to play in the postseason together, succeeded in bringing Diaz in despite efforts. A total of 170,000 U.S. dollars. Born in 1996, Diaz is a 28-year-old Dominican who measures 188 centimeters tall and weighs 105 kilograms, and is a left-handed first baseman. He started his professional career by signing a contract with the Minnesota Twins in 2013. During the three seasons since his Major League debut with the Miami Marlins in 2020, he had a batting average of 0.181 with 13 homers, 27 RBIs and 30 runs in 112 games.
This season, he played for Campeche and Mexico City teams in the Mexican professional baseball league, and led his team to the postseason with a batting index of 0.376 101 hits, 19 home runs, 77 RBIs, 52 runs and OPS (long hit + on base) of 1.099.
I thought it would take some time to adjust, but I didn’t need it. As soon as he arrived, he displayed good performance. Diaz, who had a home run against super rookie Kim Hui-gun in a game against NC Futures on Aug. 16, was immediately called up to the first team on Aug. 17. Then, he garnered a 120-meter homer against Lee Joon-ho in the sixth inning against the Changwon NC Dinos on Aug. 17, leaving a strong impression.
Since then, Diaz has continued to display stellar performance. He has had hits in five consecutive games since his no-hit game against Changwon NC Dinos on August 18. He had three hits against the Doosan Bears in Pohang on August 20.
Then, at the game against the Lotte Giants in Daegu on August 23 and 25, they both hit home runs with cool swings and a 130-meter-long-distance driving distance. They were home runs that instantly felt like home runs when swinging. In his debut series at Rafak, he made a strong impression on fans with his amazing long-distance driving.
He has played in seven games so far, posting a batting average of 0.333 with three hits, three homers, seven RBIs, six runs and an OPS (on-base plus slugging percentage) of 1.083. He also seems to have a sense of stability as he is alternating with Park.
Coach Park Jin-man said, “Even though the swing was simple, it flew far away. I felt that he is a powerful player. He also showed good physical movement in defense. It was perfect. I think he will be a great help to our team going forward.”
Diaz also said, “I want to add strength to my team as a power data player. I want to contribute to my team’s victory and go beyond the fall baseball league to the Korean Series to help my team win the title.”

Samsung fans have already forgotten the names of McKinnon and Cardenas in their heads.
