Kiwoom Heroes beat the Doosan Bears with Kim Hye-sung’s timely hit in the 10th inning of extra time to lay the groundwork for the last place.

Kiwoom has trailed the ninth-ranked Lotte Giants by half a game. Doosan has ended its three-game winning streak.
Kiwoom scored the first run in the top of the third inning by effectively targeting Choi Won-joon, the Doosan starter who showed poor control. After the leadoff batter Lim Byung-wook hit a hit to the right, Lee Ju-hyung hit a superior two-run home run to lead 2-0.
Since then, Choi Joo-hwan has walked and Bae Sang-kwon has a hit ball, but Lee Yong-kyu hit an infield grounder and failed to score additional points.
Kiwooms foreign pitcher Ariel Furado has tightly bound Doosans batters. He was in danger of hitting second base in the first inning with no outs, first base in the second inning, and one out in the third inning, but managed to calm down subsequent batters by banking on his strong concentration.

Furado continued to falter. With two outs and a runner on the second base due to Kim Jae-hwan’s right-handed hit, he gave up consecutive timely hits to Jeon Min-jae and Cho, tying the game 4-4.

The leadoff batter Lee Yong-kyu’s left-handed hit, Kim Jae-hyun’s walk, and Lee Joo-hyung’s four pitches gave him a chance to load the bases with two outs, and Kim Hye-sung hit a clean two-run timely hit against Lee Kyo-hoon to decide the game.
Kim Hye-sung played two hits and two RBIs in six at-bats, including a timely hit in the final.
Doosan recorded hits for all the starting batters, but it was meaningless due to the team’s loss.
