The national team, led by head coach Park Gye-won (Busan High School), will participate in the 13th Asian Youth Baseball Championship in Taipei, Taiwan, from September 2 to September 8.

The national team, which is aiming for its sixth Asian summit in six years since the 2018 Miyazaki Games, will depart through Gimhae International Airport at 10:50 a.m. on the 31st.

Eight countries will participate in the tournament, and South Korea will play a preliminary round with Taiwan, Pakistan, and Thailand in Group A. South Korea will hold its first preliminary round match and official opening match against Taiwan at the Taipei Tea Dance Stadium at 18:30 p.m. on September 2 (19:30 p.m. Korean time).

The top two teams from each group will advance to the super round, and the results of the preliminary round and the super round match will be added to determine whether they will advance to the final or third place. Group B consists of Japan, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka.

To do well in the competition, the national team has conducted domestic reinforcement training in Gijang-gun, Busan since the 22nd. During the training period, the national team focused on improving teamwork and enhancing defensive organization, and through practice games with the Korea Baseball Softball Association (KBSA) League All-Star, NC Dinos, and Lotte Giants, they improved their sense of practice. Those who showed considerable performance finished the practice game with a victory.

In addition to Chung Hyeon-woo (Deoksu High School) and Jung Woo-joo (Jeonju High School) one- and two-punch, the national team boasts a powerful mound height with Bae Chan-seung (Daegu High School), Park Gun-woo (Chungam High School), and Kim Tae-hyung (Deoksu High School). During the practice game, Park Joon-soon and Bae Seung-soo, the Keystone duo of Deoksu High School showed stable defense, and Soo-ho (Daegu Sangwon High School) and Park Jae-hyun (Incheon High School) are also expected to support firepower. In addition, Lee Yul-ye (Gangneung High School), who has been on the national youth team for two consecutive years, is expected to keep his home turf as the captain.
